Five dollars from each necklace sold will be donated to the charity of the purchaser's choice. Of course, it would be great if the organization supported autism and the arts, however, there are other causes out there that are near and dear to all of our hearts. Who are "we" to tell "you" which charity your hard earned money goes to? Each imported South American center tagua nut/stone is unique and no two are a like. Tagua nuts fall from trees in South America and are also referred to as vegetable ivory which is used to make various items such as buttons while saving the elephants. A Tagua tree can produce more "ivory" than the tusk of 1 elephant! Choose a blue center stone for autism awareness, pink center stone for breast cancer awareness, red for heart disease, purple for Relay for Life, etc. Our hope is that this program will help support, build confidence and self worth in individuals with disabilities while therapeutically strengthening their fine motor skills, ability to focus and complete a task all while having fun and reaping the rewards of their work! Individuals who enroll in the Give Me 5 Program will receive $5.00 for each stone they string. Please be aware that stock is limited due to the uniqueness of the stones. The necklaces in the online store are what I currently have in stock. I do have some extras in each color but shape, color and dimension will vary.
